Being a cat would be so awesome

"now I’m shittin’ in a box cos I don’t give a fuck"

"holy Christ it’s a piece of paper"

"now I think I’ll lay down here NOW I THINK I’LL LAY DOWN HERE cos I got no fuckin’ bills to pay"

Surely it’s time they came back?!  With every band ever reuniting, and The Ataris never officially splitting up (as far as I’m aware..?) there’s no reason not to!  The new songs showed promise too, they’ve stopped trying to sound like Keane…

Bloody rubbish song, but appreeshing the Snapbacks on display.

But Breezy - please, for the sake of humanity, stop rapping.  You are alarmingly bad at it.

Russel Brand's Tribute To Amy Winehouse

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jul/24/russell-brand-amy-winehouse-woman

Well said, sir. Well said

My twitter and facebook feed has been filled with a lot of predictable bull as people spout their two cents on Amy Winehouse when ultimately their opinion is not something that interests me in the slightest.

She came onto the scene when admittedly my interest in pop/chart music was minimal.  In 2003 all I cared about was punk rock and emo and come 2005 the only addition to this was hardcore, so I just knew her as some pop singer.  By the time I started working in the music industry and got more interested in mainstream content Back To Black was old news and she was more a celebrity figure than an artist.  Not that any of that’s particularly important, I just highlight it because during her career I never really had an opinion on her.  Obviously I recognised she was remarkably talented and touched many lives, but didn’t touch mine personally.  Obviously that doesn’t mean I wasn’t sad to hear of her death, far from it, I just mention it because I wasn’t a fan nor someone who disliked her either.

My stint on this is it’s incredibly sad to see a 27 year old person die regardless of the cause or circumstances (of course unless they were a serial rapist/killer etc).  People always start weighing in with their opinion which ultimately doesn’t change anything and just becomes very dull, a lot of it coming across as very ignorant and arrogant - and this is aimed at those who claim she ‘deserved it’ or state they have little sympathy for a drug addict.

So it’s nice to see Russel Brand sum it up as well as anyone can.  He’s someone I really should hate (and he did irritate me so much when he first emerged in fairness) - regarded as hilarious by many, fancied by 90% of the female population, successful actor, rich, married to the most incredible woman in the world.  But it’s such well written pieces like this that remind me he’s a top bloke.  And it’s also nice to see that people can overcome addictions and turn their lives around, however difficult it is.

So again, well said sir.  Might pick up My Bookie Wook again and give it another whirl

NEW INK
Much like my 1/2 sleeve (which for those unaware is a landscape of a picturesque countryside setting under a moonlit sky), it has no meaning.  Well, I guess my 1/2 sleeve was inspired by my love of looking up at the stars when I return back to Suffolk and seeing the sheer array of them in the sky otherwise invisible in streetlit cities…but everything else evolved from that, the lakes etc.  But I love it.
This…I guess I just wanted more nature-esque images on me that looked nice.  Kamil is such a talented artist and I’m dead happy with this.  The glare on the flash makes it seem a bit lighter and more faded than it is but yeah you get the idea.
That’s it though.  I might add some more detailed bits, and the only other thing I may get is lyrics, but no more.  I did say that the first time but I honestly can’t think of much else I want or any other area of my body I want inked..

Libraries and Reading

  • Reading 2002 whole weekend
  • Reading 2003 whole weekend
  • Reading 2004 whole weekend
  • Reading 2006 whole weekend
  • Reading 2007 whole weekend
  • Reading 2009 whole weekend
  • Reading 2010 Sunday
  • Reading 2011 whole weekend

BOOM-TING.  Reading 2005 was a deliberate boycott at increased price and rubbish line up, Reading 2008 Keeping Scores were recording, otherwise would have gone and Reading 2010 Friday and Saturday consisted mostly of bands who already did Groezrock or Slam Dunk.

I ARE EXCITED-TING
